Due to unforeseen construction delays related to hurricane damage, the Hotel Tampa Riverwalk will be closed during the FMEA Conference in January. We have been working with the hotel on this situation and have worked diligently to find replacement hotels for our conference attendees and all-state rehearsals. UPDATE: An Overflow Hotel and Shuttle Bus Schedule are now also available.
Make sure your voice is heard! Online Voting is now open for two important FMEA President-Elect elections, and FOA, FVA, and FEMEA members may now vote for their next Presidents-Elect and various other positions.
The FMEA Guitar Festival is Back with multiple sites throughout the state. The festival is a day full of guitar activity, including ensemble performances from elementary, middle, and high school programs. Ensembles of all experience levels perform for instant feedback in areas of technique, tone, musicality, and musical interpretation.

If you are planning on participating in interscholastic music events such as Concert, Marching, and Solo & Ensemble Music Performance Assessments (MPA), make sure your school's FSMA membership is renewed. The early payment discount deadline is September 15. Purchase orders should be submitted early enough so that the actual check arrives by September 15.
It is imperative that all students have access to an equitable delivery of arts education that includes dance, media arts, music, theatre, and visual arts that supports their educational, social, and emotional well-being, taught by certified professional arts educators in partnership with community arts providers. #ArtsAreEssential
FMEA invites parents, guardians, and grandparents of Florida students who take music classes to register as music parent advocates. FMEA will engage with registered advocates about legislation and related issues that impact music education in Florida.
